Applying for Assistance

 Township Assistance Application Process

The Township Assistance application process consists of two steps.

The first step is an initial interview (intake), during which you will be assigned an appointment and informed of the documentation needed to support your request for assistance.

Except for scheduled appointments, clients are served on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are submitting an initial request or application, arriving earlier in the sign-in period will allow you to be seen sooner.

Regardless of the type of request or the date a payment is due, the application process must be completed. Please be mindful of upcoming rent, utility, or other payment due dates. The application process remains the same for all requests, including utility disconnect notices or eviction situations.

Do not wait until the day of a disconnect or the day you receive an eviction notice to apply for assistance. Applying as early as possible allows time for the required process to be completed.
