Our Local Cemetery

Puckett Cemetery

Center Township maintains one cemetery within its boundaries: Puckett Cemetery, located just west of Kokomo on State Road 22.

Puckett Cemetery dates back to the early 1800s and was originally established by the Christian Congregation Church as a free burial ground for individuals and families in need.

Today, the cemetery is maintained by Center Township.

Due to the age of the cemetery, many graves are unmarked and historical records are limited. Center Township is committed to preserving and maintaining the cemetery grounds, ensuring that this historic resting place remains respectful, accessible, and well cared for.
