Township Assistance

Township assistance is a tax funded program offered to residents of Center Township to help alleviate the troubles of financial difficulties. The Center Township Trustee's Office provides emergency assistance for individuals who meet eligibility requirements. Individuals 18 years of age and older may apply for assistance. Center Township of Howard County is responsible for administering township assistance to those in need of help paying for basic necessities.

Electric, water, and sewage, and gas.

Housing Expenses

Rent and Mortgage expenses

Funeral Expenses

Direct Cremation and Immediate Burials

Medical Assistance

Insulin and Prescriptions

Food/Non-Food

Food, cleaning and hygiene items.

Transportation

Other needs as deemed appropriate by the Trustee

Maintain Public Parks

Somers Park was gifted to Center Township and was updated in the Spring of 2024.
