Darla Pugh is the Chief Deputy to Trustee Durham. She worked for the township in earlier years of her life, but returned to serve her community in 2009. Darla works closely with the Trustee and Team to ensure efficient operations of the office. You may find her at the front office overseeing the Workfare Department or at the front desk answering calls. The majority of her time is spent in her office working alongside of the Trustee or Comptroller. She is a 2017 Leadership Kokomo graduate. Darla received her Associate Degree in Secretarial Science from Ivy Tech.
Connie has been working for the township since 1991 with over 25+years of township experience. Connie is the Township Assistance Investigator Supervisor where she not only takes client cases but oversees the investigator department as a whole. She has instructed classes at our statewide Annual ITA Conference and leads with remarkable knowledge of all our Standards and Guidelines.
Serving as the Administrator of the Representative Payee Program, Tracy helps our payees in managing their personal finances. Tracy duties include budgeting, making sure their basic necessities are met and various other duties. Tracy has been with the Township since 1991 and been working in the Payee Program since 1995. She attended Indiana University Kokomo and Ivy Tech where she studied Secretarial Science and Finance.
She was awarded the Outstanding Public Service Award that was presented by the Social Security Office and is a 2018 Leadership Kokomo Graduate.
Anthony joined Team Trustee in July of 2022. He is currently serving as the Comptroller. His main obligations include payroll, budgeting funds and other various accounting activities.
He has a Bachelor's in Business Management and MBA from Western Govener's University. Anthony is also Western High School's Varsity Wrestling coach. He is a lifetime resident of Kokomo and is excited about how he can help serve the people in the community.
Alisha has been with Center Township since the spring of 2014. She is one of our main Case Investigators and assists our clients with obtaining township assistance.
She is a Graduate of Ancilla College with an Associates Degree in Health Science, and a 2019 Leadership Kokomo Graduate. She provides care and consideration to each one of her clients and is dedicated to serving our community. Alisha is also the Assistant Coach for the girl's wrestling team at Western High School.
Robyn has been member of the team since the winter of 2015. She has worked as one of our Front Desk Clerks, our Intake Investigator, and now she has progressed and settled into the role of one of our Case Investigators.
Robyn takes pride in helping clients, and gathering all important information in order to better assist them with their needs. She is a valued member of the office and is dedicated to growing and progressing within her career within the Center Township.
Coming from a background in office work and customer service, Renanda joined the Township team in May of 2019. She has advanced from the Front Office Clerk to our Intake Investigator.
She is currently in school at Ivy Tech working on her Technical Certificate for Business Operations, Applications, and Technology. She plans to continue her education, and is excited for what her future holds. Renanda is currently on the Advisory Board for the Excel Center and a 2023 Leadership Kokomo graduate.
Derek has been the Housing Inspector for the Center Township for over 20 years. He has vast experience and knowledge in inspecting rules and codes, as well as basic living standards.
He is a decorated District Chief of the Kokomo Fire Department, and also works as an assistant coach for the Western High school football team.
Paul has been with the team since the spring of 2014. He has worked at the Front Desk as a Clerk, assisting with the Payee Program, to his current position, the Township's Maintenance and Groundskeeper. He truly enjoys maintaining our beautiful campus, Somers Park, and Pucketts Cemetery.
Paul is a graduate of Indiana University Kokomo with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.
Susan has been with The Center Township since 2013 first as Intake Clerk and now is an Assistant with the Representative Payee Program. She takes genuine interest and care with her clients and it proves her years of experience in the social work field. Prior to Joining the Township she worked for the Welfare Department for over 25 years. After that she worked for United Way's 211. She is currently involved with a group that coordinates local food pantries.
Leslie started with the Township in 2019. She has progressed from running the Township's Work Search Program to working alongside the Comptroller in the Finance Department as the Township Accounting Clerk.
Leslie earned her Associate's Degree in Office Administration from Ivy Tech Kokomo and a Bachelor's in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Leslie is lifetime resident of Kokomo and truly cares about the changing community. She is excited about her future at the Township and hopes to serve the people of Kokomo for many years to come.
Jerilynn became part of Team Trustee in June of 2022. She spent 8 years working in social service at Bona Vista of Kokomo . Jerilynn earned her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University.
She currently runs the Work Search Program for the Township and is also a Front Desk Clerk. She is excited to see the Work Search program expand and help her clients in the community overcome challenges to find full-time and lasting employment.
Cameron started at the Township in late June of this year. He is the new Front Desk Clerk for the Trustee's office. He spent the last 2 years working in the City Building where he helped out in many different offices including the Auditor's office. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Indiana University in 2020.
Cameron is involved in two local softball clubs where he coaches and plays with the 'Sons of Pitches' at Northwest Park.
We will be closed on Monday, May 29th 2023 in honor of Memorial Day.
